Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. seeks a senior leader to manage a team of developers delivering modern Collision Repair software solutions.

You will guide architecture decisions, work with Product Owners, and ensure high-quality delivery and operational performance across applications that support Collision workflows. You will mentor engineers, drive performance reviews, and align technology with business goals while delivering scalable, innovative technology solutions for Penske’s Collision

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math or Information Systems or equivalent development experience.
10+ years of development experience with 3+ years leading/supervising multiple IT projects through the full SDLC, including architecture and integration with multi-tiered systems.
Strong leadership and people management skills, ideally in an Agile environment.
Extensive experience with Java Enterprise Technologies, Spring Boot/Frameworks, REST/Web services, SOA, Angular, HTML/CSS, SQL, Oracle, OpenShift, cloud-native microservices, and EAI.
Proven ability to lead custom development, evaluate/implement software solutions, and manage budgets and priorities.
Excellent communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with project management methods/tools and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of Spring Integration, API Management, and Microservices architectures.
Experience coordinating multiple IT teams to build scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

Provide direction and day-to-day management of development staff to remove roadblocks and ensure progress.
Prioritize, schedule, and ensure timely completion of development projects based on business needs.
Lead regular meetings with stakeholders to negotiate priorities and timelines and manage resources.
Hire, mentor, and perform performance reviews of associates.
Ensure on-time, defect-free delivery of applications per Penske standards.
Advocate for PDP adherence and robust management reporting.
Oversee multiple systems and cross-functional agile projects.
Follow IT security, licensing, source control, incident management and architectural standards.
Develop team members and reduce environment complexity.
