Job summary

Punahou School is actively recruiting a Head Coach for the Girls Varsity I-AA Paddling team. The Head Coach will inspire, motivate, encourage, and develop student athletes while teaching techniques, rules, and strategies.

The role emphasizes sportsmanship and building a team system tailored to each athlete’s abilities. The ideal candidate has youth coaching experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and a proven track record in leading large school programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
• Two years of leadership in an interscholastic program as a head coach or equivalent leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspire, motivate and develop student athletes.
• Teach techniques, rules and strategies for the paddling team.
• Model sportsmanship and develop a team system based on individual strengths.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents and school staff.
• Plan and implement comprehensive practice plans and competitive schedules.
