Job summary

You will join a large machining team and work with seasoned machinists, interprets prints, and sets up VTLs for precision operations.

The role emphasizes GD&T, first article inspection, and tight dimensional control in a modern, climate-controlled facility supporting aerospace and marine customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience operating and setting up CNC Turret Lathe (VTL) equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills in machine setups and tooling.
• Experience with CNC programming and fixturing.
• Solid understanding of GD&T and critical dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols and shop policies in a climate-controlled facility.
• Set up VTL machines, read prints, and select proper tooling and speeds/feeds.
• Inspect parts using gauges, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
• Achieve required dimensions and ensure conformance to OEM specs.
• Identify and correct machining issues related to tools and holders.
• Document findings and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with training and OJT for other machinists as needed.
• Perform finishing operations and deburring when required.
