Job summary

Regeneron Genetics Center is looking for a Principal Cloud Development, Security, and Operations Engineer to design and implement cloud infrastructure on AWS, supporting data, HPC, AI, and microservice platforms for researchers.

You will embed security into system design, build automation, and drive CI/CD pipelines while mentoring engineers and coordinating with InfoSec and IT teams to ensure scalable, reliable cloud operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related field.
8+ years of in-depth AWS experience and security certifications.
Hands-on experience designing cloud infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and security controls.
Strong knowledge of IAM, network segmentation, secrets management, and compliance validation.
Experience supporting data, HPC, AI, or microservice platforms.
Familiarity with AWS services: EC2, EBS, S3, ELB, RDS, EKS, IAM.

Responsibilities

Design and implement infrastructure-as-code, automation scripts, and CI/CD pipelines on AWS.
Embed security controls into system design and deployment, including IAM and network segmentation.
Develop tools to automate operational processes across cloud platforms.
Support audit activities with evidence and remediation for the cloud platform.
Build and validate continuous delivery systems and pipelines using AWS, GitHub Actions, and EKS.
Monitor, log, and measure cloud platforms to ensure availability and reliability.
Identify opportunities for highly available, scalable, and self-healing systems.
Prepare SOPs and configure services to support compliance validation.
Provide training and documentation to end users and research teams.
