Job summary

MercyFirst in Bay Shore, NY seeks a Part-Time Lead Clinician to coordinate clinical services for unaccompanied minors, train clinicians, and supervise START staff. The role includes direct clinical work in LTFC group homes and collaboration with the refugee services team.

Qualifications

• Masters of Social Work degree and NYS Licensure as a Social Worker (LMSW).
• Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Two years’ experience.
• Good communication, both verbal and written.
• Understanding and willingness to commit to the agency’s Mission, DEIB.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision to licensed social workers assessing and treating UAC.
• Ensure clinical documentation in UAC portal is completed on time and up to date.
• Collaborate with the UAC treatment team; review notes and recommend treatment plans.
• Monitor mental health assessments, individual and group therapies, and crisis intervention.
• Oversee SPARCS implementation, data collection and outcome analysis.
• Coordinate art therapy and substance abuse prevention sessions for UAC.
• Develop affiliations with community mental health providers for responsive services.
• Monitor monthly program utilization and adjust caseloads per standards.
• Participate in hiring, interviewing, and training of START staff; ensure suitability.
