Job summary

Medix in Sarasota, FL is seeking an experienced lead Clinical Research Coordinator to manage day-to-day site operations onsite. This role requires phlebotomy expertise and the ability to own study timelines, regulatory tasks, and participant coordination.

The successful candidate will coordinate visits, ensure protocol compliance, maintain supplies, and mentor staff, while collaborating with monitors and sponsors to address findings and maintain regulatory documentation.

Qualifications

• Prior clinical research experience required.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of site activities.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial protocols, regulatory requirements, and study timelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily clinical trial activities and patient visits.
• Maintain study supplies and lab kit inventory.
• Ensure staff are trained on protocols, ICFs, manuals, and sponsor requirements.
• Review protocols, eligibility criteria, and study timelines.
• Collect and document medical histories, AEs, and SAEs.
• Complete EDC data entry and resolve sponsor queries.
• Oversee data quality and study timelines.
• Partner with study monitors and address monitoring findings/corrective actions.
• Maintain regulatory documentation, including IRB approvals, training records, CVs, protocols, IBs, and sponsor/IRB reporting.

We’re seeking an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator to serve as the lead coordinator for a busy research site in Sarasota, FL. This is a great opportunity for someone who is confident working independently and wants to take ownership of day-to-day study coordination.
