Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking an experienced clinical research professional to oversee all aspects of clinical research within the program, provide mentorship to site staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage budgets and grant activities. The role requires 4 years of clinical research experience or 3 years with an advanced degree and a Bachelor’s in a scientific or health-related field.

Certifications such as ACRP/SOCRA or CCRP/CCRC within 1 year of employment are preferred.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in clinical research or 3 years of experience in clinical research with advanced degree
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or health-related field
• ACRP or SOCRA certification or CCRP/CCRC within 1 year of employment

Responsibilities

• Develops, conducts, and facilitates research protocols at an expert level
• Collaborates with manager to assess data management needs
• Assists with development of source and case report form tools
• Provides back-up data entry services and ensures data integrity
• Assists with participant screening, enrollment, study activities, and communication
• Provides substantial support to investigators in writing study protocols
• Ensures protocol feasibility within ancillary departments
• Works collaboratively with manager to monitor metrics
• Manages a large or multiple smaller clinical trial projects
• Authors or coordinates grant-related documentation and budgets
• Leads education and training related to clinical research activities
• Provides leadership for research budgeting, sponsor interactions, and contract routing
• Orients, supervises, and evaluates staff
