Job summary

The Briefed is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist Supervisor - Prior Authorization to lead a team of pharmacists performing PA reviews and appeals. You will manage daily queues, ensure turnaround times, coach staff, and escalate complex cases. You will partner with the Clinical Quality team on audits and participate in a rotated weekend/holiday on-call.

A PharmD with an active license and 4+ years in managed care are required, plus 1+ year of leadership. Remote work eligibility across the U.S.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree from an accredited institution.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license.
• 4+ years in managed care performing clinical reviews and PA/appeals.
• 1+ year of direct people management or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy utilization management workflows and queue tracking.
• Provide 1-on-1 coaching and performance evaluations to staff.
• Escalate complex PA requests, provider appeals, and exceptions.
• Collaborate with Clinical Quality on audits and calibration.
• Identify and implement process improvements and job aids.
• Participate in rotated weekend/holiday on-call.
