Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Act as superuser for the EMA ModMed system and guide providers and MAs.
• Mentor and train new MAs on clinic procedures and patient care standards.
• Monitor and optimize patient flow by reallocating staff during peak times.
• Ensure efficient appointment handling, procedures, and patient communication.
• Oversee inventory management of medical supplies, ensuring materials are stocked and organized.
• Support the Practice Manager by addressing patient complaints and operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards and maintain a clean clinical environment.
• Assist in documenting clinical interactions and patient information in the EHR.

As the Lead Clinical, you will be responsible for ensuring superior clinical operations, driving staff performance, and facilitating a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a superuser for the EMA ModMed system, providing guidance to both providers and medical assistants (MAs) regarding system functionalities and troubleshooting.
• Mentor and train new MAs, helping them to acclimate to the clinic’s procedures and patient care standards.
• Monitor and optimize patient flow within the clinic by reallocating staff as necessary during peak times.
• Ensure that the clinical team efficiently manages patient appointments, assists with procedures, and maintains clear communication with patients regarding their care.
• Oversee inventory management of medical supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials are stocked and organized.
• Support the Practice Manager by addressing patient complaints and operational issues, conducting research to provide informed solutions.
• Facilitate compliance with safety and infection control standards, maintaining a clean and orderly clinical environment.
• Assist in documenting clinical interactions and patient information accurately in the EHR

• High School diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal medical assistant program is preferred.
• 2-3 years of recent experience in a clinical role, ideally within a dermatology or cosmetic practice.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) is a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and clinical staff.
• Strong organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail in managing multiple tasks.
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems and medical software.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and best practices in patient care.
