Qualifications

• Three years experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Bachelor's Degree; military experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
• Clinical Laboratory Scientist License (California)
• Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Experience in Hematology, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Blood Bank and Bacteriology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies correct specimen and test selection for patients.
• Performs clinical laboratory analyses and quality control to ensure data accuracy.
• Validates results using reference ranges and correlates test parameters.
• Maintains and troubleshoots laboratory instruments; documents maintenance.
• Releases reports per SOPs and trains lab assistants and clerical staff.
• Provides supervision of Lab Assistants and clerical personnel as required.
