Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Burr Ridge, IL is seeking a Climbing Arborist Crew Leader to direct a crew of tree care professionals on client sites. This role requires proficient climbing using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS systems, mentoring crew members, and ensuring safety and efficient work on every job.

Starting pay ranges from $30-40 per hour, with experience-based progression, and includes benefits such as PTO, holidays, health plan, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Willingness to complete required safety and arborist training upon hire.
• Preferred: ISA and TCIA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Directs crew and equipment and plans and executes assigned work.
• Lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for clients.
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood; install cables, bracing, lightning protection.
• Removal of hazardous trees and mentoring crew members.
• Maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws and chippers.
