Job summary

MSCI Inc in New York is seeking a senior leader to architect and implement climate risk models. You will lead a team of scientists to build robust, reproducible physical models using state-of-the-art methods and AI-enhanced workflows.

Collaborate with climate scientists, data engineers, and product teams to translate requirements into scalable pipelines, establish modeling standards, and ensure validated deployment across markets.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Meteorology or related field.
• 5+ years developing environmental products for client requirements, with probabilistic risk products experience.
• Proficiency in Python, R, C/C++, and/or Fortran.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of scientists to architect and implement models for climate risk assessment.
• Create robust, reproducible physical models which will stand up to peer review and validate globally.
• Lead establishment of standards, methodologies, and techniques for modeling physical risk.
• Organize and facilitate team activities, communicate with stakeholders, align timelines and deliveries.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support product requirements and compute resources.
