Job summary

Smith's Food & Drug Centers seeks a seasoned Drug GM Department Manager to lead daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure an outstanding customer experience. You will set goals, manage scheduling, and drive promotions while maintaining safety and compliance throughout the department.

Preferred candidates have retail and management experience, knowledge of Drug GM operations, and strong communication skills to train associates and foster teamwork. A second language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions, duties and activities for the Drug GM department.
• Support the day-to-day functions of the Drug GM operations.
• Create and execute a department business plan to achieve desired results.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions about products within the department and store.
• Plan, organize and supervise inventory processes and ensure shelf tags and promotions are accurate.
• Train and develop associates and participate in performance appraisals.
• Adhere to all laws and company guidelines while maintaining safety and integrity.
