Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer – Renewables to support utility-scale solar projects. You will lead civil design efforts, coordinate with internal teams, and interact with clients to deliver robust, constructible design solutions.

The role requires a B.S. in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited), Civil PE registration, and 8–10+ years of civil experience, with at least 5+ years in solar. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is preferred; strong mentorship and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil Engineering is required.
• PE registration is required; NCEES Council Record preferred.
• 8–10+ years of civil engineering experience; 5+ years in utility-scale solar design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; knowledge of Stormwater permitting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil design projects with clients and internal teams.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers; uphold design standards.
• Develop plans, specifications, and observation reports for solar projects.
• Review computations for accuracy and constructability.
