Job summary

The Joint Chiropractic seeks a Lead Chiropractor in Houston, TX to lead clinical care and patient education. You will provide chiropractic diagnoses, adjustments, and treatment plans while operating within The Joint Chiropractic’s supportive model.

Applicants should have a Doctor of Chiropractic degree, a valid DC license, and NCBE exam completion. The role offers malpractice insurance, health benefits, a 401(k), PTO, and holidays with a weekly 5-day schedule including Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as a licensed DC.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college is required.
• Doctor of Chiropractic degree from an accredited chiropractic college is required.
• Passing scores for Parts I, II, III, and IV from NCBE.
• NBCE SPEC exam acceptable as Part IV alternative.
• Valid DC license in the applicable state.
• Full eligibility for Malpractice Insurance in the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients by reviewing health and medical histories, questioning, observing, and examining patients; and reviewing x-rays as indicated.
• Evaluate patients’ neuro-musculoskeletal systems and the spine to determine related conditions.
• Perform manual adjustments to the spine or other articulations to correct the musculoskeletal system as needed.
• Educate patients on the benefits of routine chiropractic care and provide a recommended course of treatment.
• Maintain accurate case histories and record patients' medical histories as indicated.
• Arrange for diagnostic x-rays when medically necessary and analyze them to locate sources of difficulties.
• Build positive doctor-patient relationships and maintain timely patient records.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual adjustments to the spine, or other articulations of the body, in order to correct the musculoskeletal system, where necessary.
• Educate patients on the quality of life benefits of routine chiropractic care. Provide a recommended course of treatment.
• Maintain accurate case histories of patients.
• Obtain and record patients' medical histories, as indicated.
• Arrange for diagnostic x-rays to be taken, when medically necessary.
• Analyze x-rays to locate the sources of patients' difficulties and to rule out fractures or diseases as sources of problems.

• 4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
• A Doctor of Chiropractic degree from an accredited chiropractic college

• Valid DC license in the applicable state
• Fully eligible for Malpractice Insurance in the applicable state
