Job summary

Child Development Schools is seeking a Lead Teacher to create a learning-rich environment for infants to pre-K students. You will plan lessons, observe child development, and communicate progress with families while maintaining licensing ratios and a safe classroom.

The role emphasizes hands-on activities, storytelling, and collaboration with a supportive teaching team to foster curiosity, kindness, and growth in young learners.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Completion of 12 hours of childcare training within 30 days of hire.
• Genuine care for children and a commitment to safety.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with families.
• Physical ability to meet demands of working with young children.
• A degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities for Infants, 2s, 3s or Pre-K.
• Keep the classroom safe, organized, and compliant with licensing and ratio requirements.
• Observe and document each child's development and share progress with families.
• Build relationships with parents through daily communication and conferences.
• Complete required documentation including attendance, incident reports, and assessments.
