Job summary

Celanese is seeking an Advanced Chemist, Product Technology for a regional role within the Mylar Specialty Films Joint Venture. The role develops and commercializes polyester film technology through stage-gate processes and supports lab work and plant trials.

Responsibilities include coatings, polymer formulations, film processing, and collaboration with customers and partners to bring new products to market while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Organic Chemistry or Polymer Chemistry preferred.
• Experience with coating formulations and polymer chemistry is beneficial.
• Strong project management and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical aspects of new product development programs.
• Lead new product development efforts from concept to commercialization.
• Ensure safe execution of all lab work and plant trials.
• Ensure environmental and product stewardship compliance.
• Coordinate and participate in plant trials including material logistics and coverage.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, development partners to achieve goals.
