Job summary

Devinehealthandrehab is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (LVN or RN) to lead care teams and ensure high-quality resident well-being on a full-time basis. The role requires reliable attendance, strong documentation, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic setting.

The Charge Nurse will guide nurse aides, administer medications, implement care plans, and document nursing assessments while promoting safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN or LVN license in good standing.
• Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Strong communication and ability to organize workflows.
• Responds efficiently to emergencies and pays attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Direct Care Teams: Provide guidance to Nurse Aides to ensure appropriate care for residents.
• Administer Medications: Properly and safely administer resident medications as prescribed.
• Implement Care Plans: Execute resident care plans in compliance with company policies, federal guidelines, and physician orders.
• Perform Treatments: Deliver treatments as required to ensure resident health and comfort.
• Transcribe Orders: Accurately and promptly transcribe physician orders.
• Document Resident Care: Maintain timely and accurate documentation in resident charts and complete required nursing assessments.
• Collaborate During Shift Reports: Participate in shift reports to ensure seamless communication and care continuity.
• Educate Support Staff: Implement nursing policies and procedures, educating staff on the care needs of residents.
• Maintain Safety Standards: Promote a safe working environment by complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures.
• Address Staffing Needs: Respond to staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff as necessary.
