Job summary

Selah House in Anderson, IN is seeking an experienced Charge Nurse to provide direct nursing care and lead shift operations within the facility. The role coordinates daily nursing assignments, supervises staff, and participates in treatment activities and client assessments.

You will communicate with the multidisciplinary team, respond to emergencies, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and facility policies. Indiana RN licensure and a minimum of 1 year in behavioral health are required.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing with active Indiana RN licensure.
• Minimum 1 year of behavioral health experience.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily leadership during shifts, coordinating nursing schedules, assignments, and client care.
• Supervises nursing staff on shift, providing guidance, oversight, and support.
• Performs and documents client assessments as ordered, reporting findings as appropriate.
• Oversees medical issues during shift and communicates with the on-call Nurse Practitioner as needed.
• Performs blood draws, documents results, and communicates values to the on-call Nurse Practitioner.
• Leads emergency response during medical events in accordance with policy.
• Completes all required nursing duties, ensuring care is consistent with client treatment plans.
• Maintains compliance with HIPAA and privacy regulations.
