As a Lead Medical Assistant,you’llplay a vital roleinthe care team – supporting providers and other medical assistants, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.

As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:

• Responsible for direct and in-direct patient care, (Clinical responsibilities vary based upon department specialty.)
• Responsible for daily team operations, staffing schedules and works to ensure overall work standards and goals are achieved.
• Under the direction of the department head, manages direct reports’ orientation, training, and performance. Upholds clinic policies and serves as a role model by acting in a manner consistent with Behavior Expectations.
• Supports supervisor / manager in a variety of department / administrative functions as directed.

Locations:

Rotate between locations in Park Ridge, Buffalo Grove, Des Plaines, and Lincolnwood.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to complete all required training.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical (and physical lift test, if required by department policy).
• Able to rotate shifts and locations to ensure adequate coverage as needed.
  If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.
• For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available.
• Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
