Job summary

Pilot Company is seeking a Guest Services team member to manage a small cashier shift, handle cash and card transactions, and ensure high-quality guest service at the travel center. You will help with daily closeout, merchandising, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace while following company policies.

The role supports various center functions (deli, showers, restrooms, stocking) and requires adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Experience handling cash transactions.
• Ability to lead a small shift of cashiers.
• Knowledge of store policies on restricted items (e.g., alcohol, tobacco).

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers and process all cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products.
• Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest.
• Handle guest complaints and issues per company processes; communicate with management.
• Determine break schedules and team placement during shift.
• Assist with other travel center functions (deli, showers/restrooms, stocking, coffee, etc.).
• Model behaviors that support the company’s purpose and support guests and team members at the highest level.
• Ensure compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The purpose of this job is to process merchandise and fuel transactions. Essential Functions include:

• Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions
• Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures
• Follow company and local guidelines with regards to the sale of any restricted merchandise items (i.e., alcohol, tobacco)
• Maintain an organized and clean work area
• Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products
• Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest
• Handle guest complaints and issues by following company processes and guidelines; resolve team member conflict; and communicate issues to management
• Determine break schedules and team member placement during shift
• Assist with other travel center functions such as maintaining deli, cleaning showers and restrooms, stocking, making coffee, etc.
• Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
• Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Complete other duties as assigned

Pay Rates Starting between: $11.95 - $16.95 / hour
