Job summary

Pilot Company is seeking a Guest Services team member to process merchandise and fuel transactions and lead a shift of 1–2 cashiers. The role emphasizes accurate cash handling, customer assistance, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

You will promote products, resolve guest issues, and support other travel center tasks as needed, ensuring service meets company standards. This position pays hourly and offers a range aligned with entry-level supervisory duties.

Qualifications

• Experience processing cash, credit and debit transactions.
• Ability to lead a small shift and supervise 1–2 cashiers.
• Commitment to delivering quality guest service and resolving issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures.
• Follow guidelines with regards to sale of restricted merchandise (alcohol, tobacco).
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products.
• Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest.
• Handle guest complaints and issues per company processes; resolve team conflicts.
• Determine break schedules and team member placement during shift.
• Assist with other travel center functions (deli, showers, restrooms, stocking, coffee).
• Model company values and support guests and team members at highest level.
• Ensure compliance with rules, policies, and procedures.

Job Description

The purpose of this job is to process merchandise and fuel transactions. Essential Functions include:

• Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions
• Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures
• Follow company and local guidelines with regards to the sale of any restricted merchandise items (i.e., alcohol, tobacco)
• Maintain an organized and clean work area
• Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products
• Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest
• Handle guest complaints and issues by following company processes and guidelines; resolve team member conflict; and communicate issues to management
• Determine break schedules and team member placement during shift
• Assist with other travel center functions such as maintaining deli, cleaning showers and restrooms, stocking, making coffee, etc.
• Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
• Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Complete other duties as assigned

Pay Rates Starting between: $15.15 - $20.53 / hour
