Voda Cleaning & Restoration in New Jersey is seeking a Lead Carpet Cleaning Restoration Technician to join our growing team. You will take ownership of service delivery, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and help set the standard for field operations as the business expands.

This role goes beyond routine cleaning; you’ll lead by example, train junior technicians, and coordinate on-site activities, safety, and documentation while pursuing ongoing certification and skill development.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in carpet cleaning or restoration or hands-on service
• Strong customer-service and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and meet driving requirements
• High school diploma or GED
• Willing to learn and grow with the team

Responsibilities

• Perform professional carpet, upholstery, floor, and specialty cleaning.
• Assist with water mitigation and restoration services.
• Evaluate site conditions and advise customers on services.
• Deliver professional customer experience from arrival to completion.
• Complete work orders, photos, moisture logs, and notes accurately.
• Operate and maintain company equipment and vehicles.
• Follow safety procedures and job-site protocols.
• Identify opportunities for additional services.
• Support training of additional technicians as the team grows.
• Participate in ongoing training and certifications.
• Cross-train in other restoration services.
• Lead by example and contribute to a positive team culture.

Voda Cleaning & Restoration is looking for a Lead Carpet Cleaning Restoration Technician to join our growing team.

This is more than a technician position. We’re looking for someone who wants to take ownership of their work, deliver an exceptional customer experience, continue developing their skills, and help set the standard for our field team as the business grows.

What You’ll Do

As a Lead Carpet Cleaning & Restoration Technician, you’ll play an important role in both serving our customers and helping build a strong field operation.

You will:

• Perform professional carpet, upholstery, floor, and specialty cleaning services.
• Assist with and perform water mitigation and restoration services.
• Evaluate job-site conditions and communicate recommended services to customers.
• Deliver a professional, positive customer experience from arrival through job completion.
• Complete work orders, photos, job notes, moisture logs, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
• Properly operate, clean, and maintain company equipment, tools, and vehicles.
• Follow company safety procedures, service standards, and job-site protocols.
• Identify appropriate opportunities for additional services that may benefit the customer.
• Support and help train additional technicians as the team grows.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional certifications.
• Cross-train in additional restoration services, which may include mold remediation, fire and smoke restoration, odor control, and other specialty services.
• Lead by example and contribute to a positive, accountable, team-oriented culture.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who combines a strong work ethic with excellent communication and a willingness to learn.

Preferred qualifications include:

• 1–3 years of experience in carpet cleaning, water mitigation/restoration, cleaning services, construction, maintenance, or another hands-on service industry.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Dependable, professional, and comfortable taking ownership of assigned work.
• Ability to learn new processes, equipment, technology, and service techniques.
• Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for job documentation and communication.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with cleaning and restoration work.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.

IICRC certifications such as CCT or WRT are a plus, but not required. We value candidates who are willing to learn and continue developing their skills.
