Job summary

Design Tech Contracting Inc. is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter for renovation and construction work, primarily in Brooklyn and Queens.

We are looking for a hands-on carpenter who can work independently or lead a crew, handle renovations, repairs, and punch-list tasks, and read plans to deliver quality results. Full-time, year-round employment with opportunities for growth and a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• Must have residential and commercial renovations experience.
• Proficient in rough and finish carpentry.
• Able to read plans and lay out work.
• Experience leading other workers.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on carpentry and general renovation work.
• Lead and work alongside other employees when required.
• Take responsibility for assigned work through to completion.
• Lay out work and direct other employees when necessary.
• Read and work from plans and drawings.
• Identify field conditions and determine the proper way to complete the work.
• Maintain quality workmanship and a clean, safe work area.
• Communicate progress and job-site needs to management.
