Job summary

Sacramento Area Sewer District is accepting applications for a Lead Carpenter position. The role leads a crew of Carpenters, provides technical guidance, and oversees complex carpentry tasks to ensure quality and safety.

Minimum qualifications include six years of full-time carpenter experience, with two years at journey level and two years in commercial/industrial settings; a four-year apprenticeship or General Building Contractor license may substitute.

Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is currently accepting applications for a Lead Carpenter position. Applications will be screened after the following filing deadlines at 5:00 PM:

This class is the lead and advanced journey level in the Carpenter series. Incumbents in this class are responsible for providing technical assistance and training to, and guiding, checking, assigning, and correcting the work of a group of Carpenters. In addition, incumbents perform the most difficult, complex, and/or sensitive assignments related to the carpentry trade.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Six (6) years of full-time paid experience as a carpenter. Including two (2) years at the journey level and two (2) years in a commercial and/or industrial environment.

Note: The experience at the journey level and in a commercial and/or industrial environment may have occurred concurrently. Successful completion of a four-year state-accredited carpenter apprenticeship program may substitute for four (4) years of non-journey-level experience. A General Building Contractor license will be accepted as a substitute for the minimum qualifications stated above.
