Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day jobsite operations from demolition through final finish
  • Perform hands‑on work across demo, framing, cabinetry, and finish carpentry
  • Load, unload, and haul materials and debris; maintain a clean, organized site
  • Prepare and protect client spaces using appropriate coverings and best practices
  • Anticipate project needs; stage tools and materials proactively for each phase
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations for self, helper, and surrounding areas
  • Maintain van and inventory; coordinate with your helper to manage weekly stock
  • Document daily progress with photos, notes, and receipts via JobTread
  • Collaborate with the PM on schedule updates, scope changes, and site logistics
  • Identify and support basic estimating or change order adjustments in the field
  • Train and mentor junior apprentice/helper; model clean job habits and problem‑solving
  • Uphold The PDX Way on every job: quality, communication, accountability
Experience
  • 5+ years of hands‑on residential remodeling experience (kitchens, baths, additions)
  • Previous experience with installation of tile and flooring
  • Skilled in demolition, framing, cabinetry, trim, and finish carpentry
  • Demonstrated ability to manage site logistics, cleanliness, and protection
  • Experienced in leading and mentoring a helper or junior apprentice
  • Experience coordinating with subs (plumbing, electrical, drywall) during rough‑in and finish phases
  • Basic working knowledge of estimating concepts and change order workflows
  • Tech‑savvy with text, email, uploading photos, and using apps like JobTread, BuilderTrend

  • Experience training apprentices or junior team members
  • Familiarity with permits, inspections, or code compliance
