Upstate South Carolina | Full-Time
We're looking for an exceptional Lead Carpenter.
Daniel Builders is looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter who takes tremendous pride in his craft, knows how to lead a crew, and wants to be part of a team committed to doing residential construction at an exceptional level.
We're not looking for someone who simply knows how to build.
We're looking for someone who can own the jobsite.
As a Lead Carpenter, you'll work closely with a Daniel Builders Project Manager to turn plans into reality while leading the day-to-day work of our field team.
That's the standard laid out in our Lead Carpenter KRA: the Lead Carpenter is responsible not only for his own work, but for creating a crew that understands what matters, stays aligned with the project, and consistently executes excellent work.
Experience matters. Character and how you work matter just as much.
We aren't only trying to build great projects. We're trying to become the kind of team capable of consistently delivering them.
Our purpose is to build God's kingdom with servant‑hearted excellence, build unshakeable trust in every interaction, and build beautiful, enduring spaces.
And our goal is ambitious: To lead our industry by turning every client into a raving fan through unforgettable service and craftsmanship.
That requires more than skill with a tool belt. It shapes how we work.
Colossians 3:23 - We do our work as unto the Lord.
And the rest of our Build Team pillars aren't slogans for a wall. They're expectations for how we operate together.
A Lead Carpenter should be one of the clearest examples of that culture on the jobsite.
We're looking for someone with significant residential carpentry and remodeling experience who can demonstrate the ability to lead work—not simply perform it.
The right candidate should be comfortable with:
We care much more about demonstrated capability than a particular number of years on a resume.
You may be a talented carpenter and still not be the Lead Carpenter we're looking for.
This probably isn't the right role if you:
We're building more than houses and remodels.
We're building a company where excellent craftsmen can do meaningful work, continue developing their skills, teach the next generation, and be surrounded by people who care deeply about doing things the right way.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on challenging, high-quality residential projects with a team that values craftsmanship, relationships, personal growth, and continuous improvement.
We're serious about becoming better - individually and collectively and we're looking for a Lead Carpenter who wants the same thing.
