Job summary

Morada Senior Living in Shavano Park, TX is seeking a dedicated Care Giver to provide hands-on care and support to residents in a warm, home-like environment. You will assist with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure comfort and safety at all times, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and dignity.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, CNA preferred, and strong communication and customer service skills to engage residents and collaborate with team members.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aide certification preferred.
• High School diploma/GED required.
• 18+ years old; experience with seniors preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of resident’s room and work areas.
• Help residents maintain independence, promoting dignity and physical safety of each resident.
• Participate and assist residents with activities of daily living (bath-ing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating).
• Engage residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities.

Care Giver's Role

The Care Giver's role includes providing hands‑on care and physical and emotional support to each resident while maintaining a safe and comfortable home‑like environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of resident’s room and work areas
• Help residents maintain independence, promoting dignity and physical safety of each resident
• Participate and assist residents with activities of daily living (i.e., bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating) as instructed
• Engage residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities

Position Requirements

• Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred
• High School diploma/GED
• Must be 18 years of age
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, management, and co‑workers
• Superior customer service skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Demonstrate good judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
