Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking a Lead Cardiovascular Tech in Perth Amboy, NJ. In this role, you'll assist physicians with invasive cardiovascular procedures and support the implementation of new technologies within the Cardiac Cath Lab.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac procedures, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in computer applications. Additionally, a graduate of an accredited radiologic technologist program is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cardiac cath lab or interventional radiology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

The Lead Cardiovascular Tech will assist physicians with all invasive cardiovascular procedures and circulatory support devices as indicated (i.e. IABP and Impella). In addition, the Lead Cardiovascular Tech will assist with the evaluation and implementation of new technologies, adherence to protocols for clinical research trials, and support quality based departmental initiatives. Confers with the manager as necessary to improve the functions of Cardiac Cath Lab suites.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technologist program.
• Minimum of 3 year prior experience in cardiac cath lab or interventional radiology environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platform.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred

• Associates or Bachelors Degree in health science field.
• Prior experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory, invasive procedure area or special procedures radiology.

Licenses and Certifications Required

• Diagnostic Radiography License.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
