Job summary

Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking a Lead Cardiac Echo Sonographer to join our Diagnostic Cardiology Department. This is a full-time position with a call rotation, offering flexibility while remaining part of a dedicated, patient-centered team.

As a Cardiac Echo Sonographer, you will perform high-quality diagnostic heart ultrasound examinations, collaborate with cardiologists, provide cross-coverage for other non-invasive areas, educate patients for procedures, and maintain

Qualifications

ARDMS or CCI credentials within 18 months of hire.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Previous experience in cardiac sonography preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality diagnostic examinations of the heart using ultrasound techniques.
Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to support patient care and treatment decisions.
Provide cross-coverage and as-needed back-up support to other non-invasive areas of the Cardiac Department to maintain seamless operations.
Deliver compassionate patient care by preparing and educating patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process.
Maintaining equipment, documenting procedures accurately, and adhering to department protocols and quality standards.
