Job summary

Scale is seeking a senior leader to drive origination, structuring, and management of debt, tax equity, and tax credit transfer facilities for distributed energy projects in the Capital Markets team. Based in New York, you will play a leadership role in scaling a fast-growing PE-backed business focused on batteries and microgrids.

You will work closely with legal, accounting, project managers, bankers, and investors, mentor junior staff, and engage with senior leadership on investment strategy

Qualifications

• 8+ years financing or investing in infrastructure/renewables.
• 3+ years managing analysts/associates in deal teams.
• Demonstrated financial modeling competency across debt structures.
• Experience negotiating debt and tax equity financings.
• Experience originating transaction opportunities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of off-take agreements for distributed energy.

Responsibilities

• Lead origination, structuring, and management of debt, tax equity, and tax credit transfer facilities.
• Implement new project development and capital markets transactions in the financial model.
• Implement Inflation Reduction Act and One Big Beautiful Bill Act terms.
• Manage and train junior Capital Markets team.
• Partner with internal and external teams (legal, accounting, project managers, bankers, tax equity investors).
• Maintain positive relationships across Scale's broader business.
• Engage with senior leadership on investment issues and innovation.
