Job description

Lead the development of civil engineering designs and construction plans, including grading, drainage, and site layout.
Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D for alignments, profiles, and grading features to produce engineered plans and sheet setups, including plan views, sections, elevations, and details.
Apply advanced concepts for site grading, storm drainage, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater best management practices.
Collaborate with civil engineers to interpret design intent and translate it into accurate CAD drawings.
Coordinate with survey, electrical, geotechnical, and structural engineering disciplines to ensure seamless design integration.
Troubleshoot and solve design challenges with practical, client-focused solutions.
Lead civil engineering design efforts and mentor junior designers.
Own design quality and accuracy, ensuring compliance with project standards and client requirements.
Develop detailed construction plans and exhibits for site development, grading, drainage, and stormwater management projects.
Maintain CAD standards and templates to support efficient workflows.

Requirements

An associate or technical degree in CAD, civil engineering technology, or a related field is required.
Eight or more years of experience in civil design, with strong proficiency in Civil 3D.
Advanced understanding of civil design principles, including grading, drainage, and stormwater management.
Ability to lead projects, mentor junior staff, and maintain design standards.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
Advanced 2D and 3D CAD knowledge.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Ability to interpret design intent and produce accurate CAD drawings.
Experience coordinating with survey, electrical, geotechnical, and structural engineering disciplines.
