Job summary

Henkels & McCoy, Inc. is seeking an on-site Cabling Technician to join our Washington, DC area team. You will install and test structured cabling, read drawings and cut sheets, and mentor junior installers under supervision. Must have 2–4 years of experience and be able to travel to Virginia, Maryland, and DC locations. Union shop with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Active security clearance is required or Top Secret preferred. Local candidates only.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of structured cabling experience required.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, floor plans, specifications and cut sheets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain job site productivity and safety.
• Install structured cabling systems and perform tests.
• Mentor installers and junior technicians.
• Direct a crew of 2–4 installers when needed.
• Read and interpret drawings/specifications and ensure compliance.
