The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, coaching experience, knowledge of hockey rules, and the ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification when required. The position is hourly and non-contractual with a school partnership and annual compensation based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of high school coaching experience preferred
• Knowledgeable about the rules and fundamental techniques of the sport
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid/Lifeguard Certification when applicable
• Ability to work effectively with coaching staff, parents and school staff
• Minimum of 2 years coaching preferred

Responsibilities

• Complies with MHSSA policies and district policies.
• Maintains consistent communication with Athletic Director
• Develop positive self image with athletics
• Attends clinics/workshops related to sport
• Utilize sound teaching methods to develop skills/techniques
• Demonstrate public support/loyalty for coaches
• Demonstrate positive team sportsmanship toward opponents and officials
• Demonstrates effective management of pre-contest details
• Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director
