Job summary

FatCats in Utah is seeking a Head Mechanic to lead the maintenance of bowling and scoring equipment, ensuring guests enjoy uninterrupted experiences. You will supervise the mechanical team, schedule repairs, and work with the Facility Maintenance Manager on safety and project work.

Daily tasks include reviewing maintenance schedules, inspecting pinsetters and lanes, logging tasks in our software, diagnosing issues, and providing hands-on repairs.

Qualifications

  • Lead maintenance and repair of bowling and scoring equipment while following safety protocols.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues promptly and communicate with guests to minimize disruption.
  • Keep clean, organized workspaces and manage parts inventory with detailed logs.
  • Provide leadership to mentor team members and coordinate maintenance schedules.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving, communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be computer literate and quick to learn new software; able to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Review maintenance schedules and team assignments.
  • Perform routine checks on pinsetters, scoring equipment, and lanes using operations software.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment to minimize guest disruption.
  • Maintain logs and manage parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with Facility Maintenance Manager on special projects and team development.
  • Lead and mentor the mechanical team.
