Qualifications

  • Proven experience in theatrical lighting operation and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with ETC lighting consoles and basic projection software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage venue-specific logistics.
  • Must be comfortable working with students and volunteers.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work comfortably at heights.

Responsibilities

  • Program and operate lighting and projection consoles for all productions and events.
  • Repair and maintain venue-specific electrics and effects; perform pre-show sweeps.
  • Hang, focus, and strike instruments per plot and designer instructions.
  • Maintain up-to-date paperwork: plot, channel hook-up, show run sheets.
  • Assist in constructing and wiring specialty items (light boxes, star drops, LED tape).
  • Keep electrics shop and lighting booth clean and organized; update lighting inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned.
