Calico Life Sciences LLC in South San Francisco, CA, seeks an Associate Director or Director of Biostatistics to lead statistical analyses across clinical programs. You will guide study design, endpoints, and data integration, interfacing with basic research, computational biology, pharmacology, PKPD, and biomarker experts.

The role requires a PhD/MS in Biostatistics with extensive experience, leadership skills, and the ability to manage CROs and external vendors.

Qualificações

• Ph.D. in Biostatistics/Statistics or equivalent with 8+ years’ experience, or MS with 10+ years’ experience.
• Broad understanding of clinical trial methodology and regulatory submissions.
• Ability to develop innovative statistical solutions to complex problems.
• Experience managing CROs and external statistical vendors.
• Willingness to work onsite at least 4 days a week.

Responsabilidades

• Independently lead biostatistical support for therapeutic programs and clinical studies across development phases.
• Develop statistical strategies aligned with development objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with clinical and scientific teams to evaluate study designs and support data-driven decisions.
• Provide statistical input into development plans, protocols, endpoints, and sample size considerations.
• Develop adaptive and Bayesian trial designs and perform simulations as appropriate.
• Communicate statistical concepts clearly to cross-functional teams.
