Job summary

6 Degrees Search is recruiting a Maintenance Supervisor for a confidential beverage manufacturer in the Indianapolis area. This hands-on leadership role focuses on developing technicians, improving equipment reliability, and supporting efficient production.

You will oversee daily maintenance activities, balance urgent repairs with planned work, and help cultivate a proactive maintenance culture across shifts and teams.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of relevant maintenance experience.
• At least two years of education beyond high school.
• Strong working knowledge of PLCs, electrical systems, hydraulics, and production equipment.
• Ability to organize maintenance workloads and guide technicians.
• Ability to coordinate contractors and project schedules.
• Strong problem-solving, planning, coaching, and communication skills.
• Flexibility to support weekend and holiday work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance technicians, assign work orders, and set safety, quality, and performance expectations.
• Coordinate breakdown response while ensuring preventive maintenance and scheduled repairs.
• Plan upcoming work around technician availability, equipment priorities, and production schedules.
• Use root cause analysis and continuous improvement methods to reduce downtime.
• Coach and develop technicians through feedback, technical instruction, and safety training.
• Track maintenance performance and work order completion to identify improvements.
• Support spare parts availability and maintenance storeroom practices.
• Partner with Production, Quality, and Safety teams for dependable operations.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors while ensuring site safety.
