Job summary

LA Clippers are seeking a Head Performance Coach to lead the San Diego Clippers' daily athletic performance program in the G League, based in Oceanside, CA during the season with offseason support.

The role emphasizes strength and conditioning, athlete monitoring, workload management, and collaboration with medical staff, coaching, and basketball operations. Requires CSCS and 3–5 years in high-performance basketball; travel expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field required; master's preferred.
• CSCS certification required.
• 3–5 years in high-performance basketball or similar setting; basketball experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily athletic performance program, including strength, conditioning, activation, and recovery.
• Design individualized and team-based performance plans based on each player's profile and goals.
• Align training, workload, recovery, and return-to-play with team priorities and schedules.
• Lead athlete monitoring and performance testing using appropriate technologies.
• Collect, analyze, and communicate performance data to players, coaches, and staff.
• Collaborate with nutrition staff to support fueling, hydration, and recovery strategies.
• Support onboarding and development through assessments and clear performance expectations.
• Contribute to year-round performance initiatives and team activities.
