Job summary

Florida Atlantic University seeks a Head Baseball Groundskeeper to manage all aspects of game and practice field maintenance in Boca Raton, FL. You will lead turfgrass care, clay work, and field preparation for FAU baseball activities, coordinating with the athletics staff.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in groundskeeping, prefer baseball-specific experience, and are able to obtain a Florida Commercial Pesticide License within 6 months. Salary ranges depend on experience and merit.

Qualifications

• 2+ years groundskeeping experience preferred, baseball experience a plus.
• Must be able to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day baseball field maintenance for FAU games and practices.
• Perform clay work on mound, home plate, and infield dirt.
• Care for turfgrass: mowing, fertilizing, watering, spraying, cultural practices.
• Prepare and line fields for games and events.
• Operate field equipment (mowers, tractors, edgers, blowers) and support other fields/events.
