Who we are…

The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work, and have a good time.

Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to be opening a Ned’s Club in the US capital, our fourth and newest location.

The Property…

Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW.

The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-storey building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.

The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury, and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery, and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces.

Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare house-made ingredients and batch cocktails for both standard and draft service for our full range of menus and concepts.
  2. Maintain liquor, batch, and produce levels; lead ordering and inventory processes.
  3. Oversee, coach, and train bartenders and barbacks in day-to-day bar prep activities including daily juicing and garnish preparation.
  4. Ensure our kitchen and prep spaces are active, tidy, presentable, and a slick operation is essential.
  5. Be a guardian of drink quality and presentation, never letting anything lower than Ned standards reach our guests.
  6. Maintain a safe and clean environment, protecting our guests and your teammates from any possible harm.
  7. Assist and communicate with our barbacks and bartenders the needs of the bar in an effort to support an extraordinary experience.
  8. Work collaboratively with our bar teams and culinary teams in creating new and exciting cocktails and experiences for our guests.
What you can bring to the role:
  1. Previous bar supervisory or leadership experience with a proven track record of delivering outstanding drinks and people management.
  2. A fantastic personality, engaging with your colleagues positively and constructively.
  3. Great all-round drinks knowledge, and strong experience with serving and producing cocktails in batched programs.
  4. Strong experience in a guest-facing bar environment; a confident understanding of how information is communicated to bar teams and guests will be valuable.
  5. High standards and great attention to detail.
  6. Strong organizational and time management skills will be critical for success.
  7. A creative flair is always welcome – you will help guide the program and coach the bar team.
  8. A desire to learn and progress your beverage knowledge and skills as we will have regular spirits, wine, beer, and service trainings as part of our monthly learning calendar.
