Job summary

Montage International is seeking a Lead Barista for Montage Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, SC. You will lead a small team, craft specialty coffees and teas to exact standards, and deliver friendly, timely service that enhances guest experiences.

The role emphasizes inventory, equipment upkeep, and ongoing training to maintain exceptional beverage quality and guest satisfaction. A friendly, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this vibrant hospitality

Qualifications

• One year minimum of barista experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leading the team, training new associates and supporting the day-to-day operations
• Prepare all specialty coffee and tea drinks to the specified standards; providing guests with professional, friendly, and timely service
• Maintain the cleanliness of the coffee equipment, counter, prep, participating in ongoing service training of standards
• Provide a daily/weekly inventory of coffee, tea, beverages and supplies
• Responsible for polishing of silverware/glassware
• Deliver on guests’ expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments
• Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties, based on business needs stocking and menu knowledge

Your Journey

Physical Requirements

• Grasping, holding, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending over
• Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift
• Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi-regular basis
