Job summary

Aspire Bakeries is seeking a Warehouse Lead to supervise forklift operators and oversee the receipt, storage, and movement of raw materials and finished goods in our plant warehouses. You will report to the Warehouse Supervisor, maintain safe and organized work areas, ensure pallets and supplies are stocked, and coordinate with production to keep materials flowing while upholding company safety and quality standards.

Shift: 3rd.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak before groups.
• A valid forklift license is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct forklift operators on shift to ensure material movement within guidelines.
• Report variances and discrepancies to Warehouse Supervisor.
• Advise Warehouse Supervisor on personnel issues.
• Maintain harmony within the workforce.
• Ensure adequate pallets, packaging supplies, and raw materials for production.
• Train Forklift Operators on proper preservation of materials.
• Operate material handling equipment per guidelines and attend safety training.
• Record movement of materials in plant warehouse per company policies.
• Unload inbound materials and load outbound finished goods per guidelines.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards; keep work area clean and organized.

The Warehouse Lead performs duties related to the receipt, shipment, and movement of raw materials and finished goods within the warehouse and production, utilizing material handling equipment. Assists Warehouse Supervisor in all related activity required to operate plant warehouse and production areas.

Responsibilities:

• Organizes and directs forklift operators on their shift to insure all warehouse activity related to the movement of materials into, out of, and within the plant production areas is in accordance of company guidelines and procedures.


• Reports all variances and discrepancies related to the movement of materials to the Warehouse Supervisor.


• Advises the Warehouse Supervisor of all personnel issues.


• Maintains harmony within the workforce.


• Insures an adequate supply of pallets, packaging supplies, and raw materials are available for production.


• Trains Forklift Operators on proper preservation of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods.


• Operates all material handling equipment according to company guidelines and attends safety training annually.


• Records the movement of all material movement within the plant warehouse including raw materials, packaging, supplies, and finished goods in accordance with the company policies and procedures.


• Unloads inbound raw materials and loads outbound finished goods in accordance with the company guidelines and procedures.


• Completes duties and follows all company guidelines in accordance with safety and quality assurance to comply with all government codes and regulations.


• Documents and reports all malfunctioning equipment to plant management.


• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area including but not limited to sweeping floors and trash removal.


• Performs all other assigned duties related to plant warehouse operation.


• Works to maintain and improve the quality, legality, and safety of each product and the processes used in their manufacture. Responsible for keeping assigned work area clean and tidy at all times and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to a Supervisor immediately.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)


• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.


• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.


• A valid operating license for operating a forklift.
