Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Python, AWS) to drive a portfolio of backend services and lead a team of developers focused on distributed microservices and data-driven solutions. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product managers, and deliver cloud-based systems that empower millions of Americans with secure, scalable financial experiences.

Strong experience in Python, AWS, and open source tools is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required.
4+ years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply).
At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

Responsibilities

Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company.
Share passion for staying on top of tech trends, mentoring engineers, and occasionally coding or evaluating code.
Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans financially.
Utilize programming languages like Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases; Docker and Kubernetes; and AWS tools and services.
