Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and implementation of Scribd's payments and billing systems.
• Design, build, and operate backend services powering global subscription payments.
• Own billing lifecycle, global payments, invoicing, reconciliation with multiple providers.
• Ensure PCI DSS, tokenization, encryption, and secure data handling.
• Lead agentic engineering with AI agents to speed delivery without compromising security.
• Define guardrails for AI-assisted changes in PCI scope and ensure testing of AI-generated code.
