Job summary

Jack & Jill in San Francisco seeks a Member of Technical Staff, Backend to own the backend platform, scale ingestion and AI workflows on a modern Python and Kubernetes stack. You will ship production-ready APIs for millions of developers and work closely with customers to translate complex technical requirements into core features.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of backend engineering, strong Python skills, and experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and database performance

Qualifications

4+ years of backend engineering experience.
Proficiency in Python and distributed systems, cloud infra, and database performance.
Strong interest in AI/LLM-native applications and fast-paced hybrid startup environment.

Responsibilities

Design and scale backend systems for ingestion and AI processing using Python, Node.js, Kubernetes, and Temporal.
Collaborate directly with customers to translate complex technical requirements into production-ready product features and core APIs.
Shape the product roadmap and technical architecture for a platform serving startups and Fortune 50 companies.
