We are looking for a Lead Software Development Engineer (Node.js) who is passionate about building scalable, high-performance backend systems and driving technical excellence. In this role, you will lead the design and development of distributed applications, define system architecture, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build reliable, secure, and scalable products. You will play a key role in architectural decisions, engineering best practices, and delivering high-quality software that powers mission-critical financial products.

What You'll Be Doing :

• You will lead the design, architecture, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance enterprise applications that solve complex business problems.
• You will drive end-to-end system design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making for backend platforms and distributed systems.
• You will design scalable, resilient, and secure microservices-based applications using Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern backend technologies.
• You will define High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD), ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with engineering best practices.
• You will build and optimize RESTful APIs, serverless applications, and event-driven architectures to support high-volume transactions.

What We're Looking For :

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and Node.js.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, Express.js, and backend application development.
• Strong expertise in System Design, Software Architecture, and designing scalable distributed systems.
• Experience designing and developing Microservices and Event-Driven Architectures.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, event loops, concurrency, and scalable backend systems.
• Experience building high-performance REST APIs and serverless applications.
• Strong proficiency working with Relational Databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL Databases (MongoDB/DynamoDB/Redis).
• Strong understanding of API security, authentication, authorization (JWT/OAuth), and secure coding practices.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, including services like EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, SQS, or SNS.
• Experience mentoring junior developers and leading technical initiatives.
