Job summary

Ascendo Resources is seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate our Azure cloud platform. This hands-on role focuses on execution, owning infrastructure, DevOps practices, and cloud operations end-to-end.

You will shape a secure, scalable Azure environment, partnering with development, product, and security teams to implement security controls and deliver a FedRAMP-ready platform.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Terraform IaC.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar).
• Knowledge of Azure networking (VNet, private endpoints, NSGs).
• Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and operate production systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure infrastructure.
• Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Own cloud environment architecture, including networking, segmentation, and access control.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred).
• Improve deployment reliability, speed, and rollback strategies.
• Partner with Security to implement controls and ensure FedRAMP readiness.
• Lead incident response and improve system reliability.
