• Design, develop, and migrate APIs and microservices across platforms.
• Implement secure API practices, encryption, and secrets management.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support secure, scalable APIs and microservices for Payments, Money Movement, and Information Reporting platforms.
• Modernize and migrate APIs and integration services from on-prem to AWS cloud-native architectures.
• Develop cloud-native solutions using AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, IAM, KMS.
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices with Java, Spring Boot, and AWS-native technologies.
• Support and enhance existing API platforms by troubleshooting issues and improving resiliency and performance.
• Develop event-driven solutions using Kafka, SNS, and SQS for real-time processing.
• Deploy and support containerized apps with OpenShift, Docker, and AWS ECS.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Implement secure coding practices and API security controls including authentication and authorization.
• Optimize API performance, scalability, and reliability with monitoring and tuning.
• Participate in API migrations, testing, deployment, and production cutover.
• Create Infrastructure as Code with Terraform to provision cloud resources.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, deploy, and release.
• Use Dynatrace, CloudWatch, X-Ray, Grafana, Splunk for observability and monitoring.
• Participate in on-call support, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to code reviews and engineering best practices.
