Job summary

The Clark County Department of Aviation is seeking a dynamic and highly qualified individual for the role of Supervising Construction Management Inspector. This position plans, coordinates, supervises, reviews, and evaluates the work of Construction Management Inspectors and engineering consultants to ensure all projects meet the stringent airport specifications and standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of college in pre-engineering, construction technology or related field with five years of full-time construction inspection experience.
• One year of full-time lead or supervisory experience in construction inspection.
• Must possess a valid Nevada Class C driver's license (at time of appointment).

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, assigns, supervises, reviews and evaluates the work of inspection staff.
• Oversees quality control staff to ensure compliance with standard specifications.
• Interprets and enforces regulations to developers, contractors and the public; resolves conflicts and problems.
• Performs on-site inspections of streets, drainage and public works projects.
• Prepares reports and maintains records related to inspections and audits.
